Going To The Chapel #1

Weddings, a time usually of happiness and love, of two people uniting in the ultimate expression of love. Combining their two families forever more until death do you part. Or… Until a divorce does you part if the whole death thing doesn’t happen. But when it comes to David Pepose’s (Of Spencer and Locke fame!) first issue of Going To The Chapel, love seems to be a bit far away with reluctance taking center stage! And heck, I just thought it was jitters and cold feet and the like at first but as I read along in this first offering, I realized it was more than that. And given the kind of work David did in Spencer and Locke, there’s no telling how crazy things might just get! Even if we already have seen an example of that as it is! Like a group of robbers busting in before the final ‘I do’ can be said!

So terribly rude, right!? Though I gotta say, I think Grandma Harriett is probably the best thing about this whole book! And someone had better watch that one kid as it looks like she might be a future pyro if the little we saw of her is anything to go by!

Another example of crazy is the apparent connection one of the robbers has with our reluctant bride to be! How that’s gonna play into things in the next issue and the consequences of that is anyone’s guess but I certainly am excited to see how it all goes down!
