AUG. 16, 2022 (PITTSBURGH, PA) — From successful titles such as Nottingham to The Last Session and the launch of the Maverick imprint last year, Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce the expansion of its publication line with the acquisition of Papercutz!

Providing great graphic novels for all ages, the Papercutz catalog includes famed licensed properties The Smurfs, Loud House, Geronimo Stilton, Casagrandes, and more! Mad Cave Studios is opening its doors to continue to create and offer meaningful character-driven stories for adults, young adults, and kids creating a new experience for readers of all ages.Papercutz’s devoted fan base and well-established licenses make it the perfect complement to Mad Cave’s current vision,” said Mad Cave Studios founder and CEO, Mark London. “With the addition of Papercutz, readers should know that Mad Cave will be the best place to experience new content for different age groups. Terry Nantier and Jim Salicrup will oversee Papercutz to ensure a smooth transition.

Rex E. Ogle will be the new head of editorial for Papercutz. Rex has 20 years of experience in publishing, as both an editor and a writer, including work with DC Comics, Scholastic, and Little, Brown Young Readers and on titles such as LEGO, Star Wars, Minecraft, Power Rangers, Despicable Me, Minions, and more.

Papercutz has been publishing incredible graphic novels for kids for 17 years, and Mad Cave already has an amazing readership in both the adult and young adult sectors, so it’s exciting to add our middle grade line to the overall list,” said Papercutz Head of Editorial, Rex E.
