START AGAIN, the British superhero boy meets girl comic, is returning to Kickstarter on March 28th, 2019. The last campaign had over 350 backers, and has seen success with critics in the industry.
“It’s great to be back with new START AGAIN.” Explains Jamie Me. “Everything is set in my local area of West Yorkshire, and it’s inspired by my difficulties with OCD and anxiety. I wanted to create characters that evoke real responses in readers. Everything from the language to the setting is true to the area.”
Jamie Me, the creator and writer, mixes the complex themes of struggling with mental health with the classic superhero genre. All of this with highly cheeky British humour, explicit nudity and exploring the effects of social media on our mentality.
“I made one promise when I started writing START AGAIN.” Me proclaims. “I wouldn’t shy away from anything, and if it happens in reality then it can happen in this comic universe. Our readers love that they never know what could happen next.”
The team for START AGAIN is Jamie Me writing, Toni Doya doing art, Sean Callahan on colours and the editor is Archie Dait. For the duo of Me and Dait this marks their 8th project working together as a team.
