Summary: Foxy and Wolfy is a magical mix of Mahou Shoujo, good PG-13 yuri fun, and hell-raising chaos.
Foxy and Wolfy is about the adventures of two spirit guardians. A Foxy young spirit guardian with muscular dystrophy named Misaki Kimura and her Wolfy partner, Amaya Bellerose.
In the world of Foxy and Wolfy: Chaos, spirit guardians are humans who fight genocidal demons and purify souls consumed by hatred. Through the use of spirit keys, the main characters Misaki and Amaya (along with their friends) travel between the human and demon worlds to defend all they hold precious against nefarious demons seeking chaos.
Volume 1 follows their initial origins at Foxshuffle Academy as new kid mages, and their first official mission as adults! Expect magical combat, silly shenanigans and deadly fanatical demon attacks! You will see them when they are kids first and later as adults going after their first target. Come join the fun!
Hot Spot: Foxy & Wolfy: Chaos Vol. 1 promises to tell the kind of stories that here in the U.S., and really many parts of the world, often neglect: Those of inclusion that feature the adventures of not only LGBTQIA+ characters – with this being a yuri book – but, also those with disabilities. The main character, Foxy, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Exactly like Kitsune Windsor, the creator.

It’s important to make sure anyone and everyone can be allowed to see themselves in the fiction they consume. Not only as a lighthearted escape from the harsh realities of the world, but also as a positive look into a world where they can exist without marginalization and dehumanization. As powerful as they feel and as they truly are.
When I originally found out about Foxy & Wolfy I was awe struck by the art and how fun and happy everyone looked. This looks like it’s going to be an enjoyable experience through and through. It drew me in immediately. When I next found out that it was going to feature so much more, I knew I had to experience it for sure.
The book is abound with lusciously cute art and sugar-filled characters that will give your heart cavities. It’s about friendship, empowerment, and lending support for one another. Together, we can accomplish all things. It’s a kind of story that needs to be told more often. A world brimming with positivity and light that can be shone in the darkest of days. Foxy & Wolfy is about so much more than just giving you a fun book to look at and enjoy, it’s about making sure that joy sticks with you long after you’ve put it down. And it’s about allowing you to get into the wheels and heart of someone who is either like you in some way, or not like you at all.
